some lesser spotted verse

back to list of poems

This very simple poem is useful for reminding me what is important in life.

Connection

Connection
Makes coherent a chaotic universe
Intertwines the ebb and flow
Of life’s turbulent streams.

Connection holds
An elephant’s odyssey
To a dung beetle’s crib
Twins the moon’s pulse
with a barnacle’s breath

 Connection brings
synthesis to fracture
communion to solitude
birth to death

Isolation is our greatest delusion
And our greatest fear
Connection is our solace
And our map...
